In his 30 years career, Tom has built highly successful companies with worldwide operations from start-up; as well as turned around companies from excessive loss making to profitability in very short time. Tom has worked as the General Manager & CEO of Small and Medium sized businesses in both Manufacturing & Retail sector. As the head of these organizations he was directly or otherwise responsible for start up, expansion, diversification, long term strategic planning, financial management, operational efficiency, quality initiatives, material management and most importantly the profitability of the businesses

Tom started his career in 1989 in Oman as an Engineer of a 5-person workshop and within two years became the CEO of the company. Under his stewardship, over the next 10 years, this company became one of the finest manufacturing units in Middle East employing over 350 people and worldwide operations. The company received numerous excellence awards and was twice the proud winner of ‘His Majesty’s award for Excellence in Industry’ – the highest honor in the country for manufacturing companies.

As a business consultant, Tom has helped numerous small and medium sized businesses in the Washington DC metropolitan area to increase sales revenues, reduce overheads, improve operational efficiency, overcome cash flow issues, resolve people issues, implement quality control procedures and most importantly increase profitability. In addition to helping businesses with Management advice, Tom also coaches Business Owners, CEO’s and Senior Business Executives on Time Management Skills to help them improve their efficiency and productivity.

Tom is a committed advocate of adopting ‘best practices’ in business especially the use of Business Excellence Models like Malcolm Baldrige, EFQM etc. Tom is also credited for designing the ‘Business Excellence Model’ for the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Tom has traveled to over 52 countries and worked closely with businesses from all over the world. His extensive travel has given him the ability to appreciate different cultural values and work effectively with diverse cultures.

Tom holds a B.Tech degree in Production Engineering from University of Kerala, India and MBA in General Management from the Graduate School of Business, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK.
